Harish Rawat’s Victory In Uttarakhand Again - Indian Politics News Today

Big reason for Congress now to celebrate as they have won the elections held in Uttarakhand and the party is all set to take over again. However, after much speculation it was made clear by Supreme Court earlier this day that Harish Rawat will again resume his position as the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand.

As per the latest Indian political news headlines  it was a great day for Congress in Uttarakhand on Wednesday as the Attorney-General informed the Supreme Court that dismissed Chief Minister Harish Rawat had clinched the numbers in the floor test in the Uttarakhand Assembly having 33 of the 61 MLAs who are said to have voted for him.
Supreme Court said that Harish Rawat can regain charge as the chief minister. The Supreme Court also said that no distortions in the trust vote and voting pattern were found. Indian political news today is that responding to this victory for the Congress, party vice-president Rahul Gandhi tweeted and said that he wishes that PM Narendra Modi learnt a lesson from the people of the country.

The floor test, also called a trust vote, was adhered to confirm whether the ousted chief minister still gets a majority in the House. The Centre appointed President's Rule in Uttarakhand on March 27 saying Rawat lost his majority when nine Congress council members rebelled. Today's result doesn't come as an entire amazement, because most people knew yesterday which lawmakers planned to vote for Rawat. Elated Congress started celebrating right after winning. Also, Mr. Harish Rawat told reporters in a very happy mood,” "Let us forget the past and start with a new chapter," Such statements and comments of Political leaders as per the emerging trends in Indian politics are posted over Posticker and you can share your personal opinion about Indian and world politics journal as well on it openly.
